Permit Types
Transportation Restrictions
If width 13’6” or wider, of if height 14’ or higher, travel restricted 9:00 AM -4:00 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday only.
Travel restricted during the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas. If New Year’s Day falls on a Saturday, travel restricted on Friday; if New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday, travel restricted on Monday. For Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, travel is restricted from noon the day preceding the holiday or holiday weekend to daylight hours the day after the holiday or holiday weekend.

Transportation Requirements
Superloads
Anything over routine issue dimensions require special review.
Oversize Load Signs
Oversize Load Sign is required for any load over 10’ wide.
Flags/Lights
An 18” red flag is required at the widest point and at the four corners of any load over 8’6” in width.
Blades
On loads up to 14′ wide, the blade can remain attached. If weight can be reduced, it must be
hauled separately.
Divisible Load Exceptions
Some bulk materials and raw products may be transported even though they are divisible. These products include:
– Soils: Sand, topsoil, loam, and contaminated soil
– Stone: Rip-rap, aggregate, recycled aggregate, rock, stone dust, and gravel
– Bituminous: Asphalt, bituminous rubble, road milling, and recycled asphalt
– Processed Products: Raw milk, feed/grain, mulch, liquid concrete, ash, crushed glass, liquid asphalt, liquid calcium/chloride, process residue, auto-fluff, salt, mycelium, and lime
– Other: Demolition/construction materials and logs

No overweight permits will be issued for less than 80,000 lbs. on five axles except for special use vehicles that are not designed for transporting persons or property and are only incidentally operated or moved over a highway.
