Transportation Restrictions
If over 10’ wide, 80’ long, or 14’6” high, travel restricted on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday and Friday), and Christmas. If any holiday falls on a Saturday, the previous Friday is also restricted, and if any holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is also restricted.
Travel restricted when visibility is reduced to 1,000 lbs. due to rain, fog, smoke, etc.
No movement allowed in congested traffic if vehicle over 85’ long.

Travel allowed until noon on Saturday and Sunday
Night Moves
Superloads or loads under police escort will be given night travel.

Anything over Routine Issue dimensions requires special approval from the DOT.
Oversize Load Signs
“Oversize Load” signs required for all transports over 10’ wide, 80’ long, or 14’ 6” high.
Flags/Lights
Any 18” red or orange flag is required at the extremities of any overwidth vehicle. A flashing or rotating amber light is required for overwidth or overlength vehicles and for overhangs exceeding 3’.
Blades
Blades, buckets, counterweights, etc. may be hauled up to 16′ wide, only if they cannot be
reduced (welded parts). Parts may be hauled on the same vehicle.

*Requests for movement of vehicles over 15’ high will require an affidavit verifying the proposed route has clearance to accommodate the requested height plus six inches.
**Appropriate utility personnel will also be required whenever the load will encounter low barriers such as overhead structures, traffic signals, and low wires.
