How long does it take to receive my permit?

Do I need a temporary fuel (IFTA) permit

Fuel permits are required when operating without a IFTA sticker outside of your base state and the truck has 3 axles or more and/or the truck is registered for more than 26,000 lbs. To order you fuel permit you can go to instantpermits.com or give us a call at 888-963-0830.

Do I need a temporary trip (IRP) permit?

Trip permits are required when operating with a non-IRP registration outside of your base state and the truck has 3 axles or more and/or the truck is registered for more than 26,000 lbs. To order you trip permit you can go to instantpermits.com or give us a call at 888-963-0830.

Do I need a route survey?

Route Survey requirements differ from state to state. To find out if you need a route survey give us a call at 888-963-0830.

Do I need an escort?

Each state has their own escort requirements for width, length, and height. Click here to check if you need escorts for your load.

What is a “superload”?

A load is considered a superload when the routine issue dimensions for a state are exceeded. Click here to check the routine issue dimensions for each state.

When do I need a permit?

A permit is needed when traveling with a load that exceed legal dimensions. Legal dimensions differ from state to state, but generally, you will be considered over-legal when exceeding 8′ 6″ wide, 13′ 6″ high, and/or 80,000 lbs. Legal length is different in each state.
